The ACCI is currently developing performance characterization
and measurement in quality and safety at two hospitals under construction
on the Central Coast. The two projects are being benchmarked against
each other to help improve performance in these crucial areas of
project performance.
The project is based on a framework developed by ACCI, the first
element of which was designed to show whether or not the various
actions in the management system designed to identify problems,
are being carried out in accordance with the plan.
The second element in the framework comprises performance indicators
that reveal whether or not the problems identified by the management
system are being followed through, and the third element directly
measures the outcome being sought, but focuses on progressive outcomes
rather than final outcomes.
The ACCI framework introduces an assessment of management response
to identified problems. This provides real time feedback and should
lead to problem prevention and reduction.
