ACCI's Director Marton Marosszeky has been appointed to the Multiplex Chair within the UNSW's Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Professor Marosszeky is the driving force behind the ACCI, which has been involved in research and technology projects for the Australian construction industry since 1987.

Multiplex Constructions funded the Chair to forge closer ties to the UNSW's research program and to publicly acknowledge the importance of research and innovation in construction.

Professor Marosszeky commends the initiative shown by Multiplex. "Without leaders like Multiplex who are prepared to invest in the future of the industry, we will be left behind in the race for achieving world's best practice through innovation."

Professor Marosszeky took up the position in early July.
